Image Retouching at Apple Country
Retouching is part skill and part art. Since Photoshop's inception I've been working with images. I am not a guru by any means, but I think I have what it takes to make good raw images into beautiful portraits. For kids, their skin is usually flawless. As we get into our teen years, things usually change a bit. As the years go by, they change even further. So, I offer my clients the ability to print what the camera sees or, with a little manipulation, what you want the camera to see. Simple retouches are included in all portrait prints 8x10 and larger. This includes minor blemish removal and facial brightening, color enhancement, warming skin tones, sharpening, and vibrancy enhancements. I also custom convert to black and white or sepia toned images. With many photographers, they do retouch work and just charge very high prices per print as part of their packages. I don't do that and I don't do packages options. I prefer that you pay only for the retouch work that you want or need. You pay it only once per image and then all image prints are my normal prices. For anything more than my "free" retouch, I offer the following. Deluxe retouching includes eye and teeth whitening, glasses glare removal, braces removal, stray hair removal, facial glare removal, and softening or removing the bags under eyes. Glamor retouching includes all of the elements of the deluxe retouch plus does what a magazine-style retouch would do: wrinkle removal, slenderizing, hair recoloring, and more. For the senior portrait of Kelsey above, my "free" retouching would include some minor blemish removal. She also wanted to remove her braces and do skin softening. I retouched so that her skin is nice and smooth, teeth are perfect, and eyes are bright white. Click on Kelsey's picture for a larger version of what the retouch looks like. My prices for a deluxe retouch are a fixed $30 per image and for a glamor retouch they start at $50, can be quoted, and depend on the amount of time involved. Come do a portrait sitting with me and you will have professional prints that look like they came right out of a magazine.
